FULL TIME RVN

Due to being let down at the last minute, we are looking for an RVN to join our friendly, warm and supportive team.
We are a busy, progressive, well equipped, independent small animal practice based in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. We are a lovely, close knit and encouraging team, looking to welcome an RVN into the team. We have high clinical standards where cases are thoroughly worked up. Happy, healthy patients are our priority and everything we do is based on compassion. Our practice is a busy, dynamic and fun, fast paced environment to work in.

– Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service and patient care with good communication skills and attention to detail is essential.
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently using your own initiative is necessary.
– Full-time position with a great work/life balance – 40 hour week with a structured rota, 1 in 4 Saturdays (8:30am-12:30pm).
– Busy, varied caseload, seeing a wide range of surgical and medical cases.
– Your nursing skills will be fully utilised and developed, and your ideas will be listened to. RVNs do most of the blood tests, place IV catheters, take radiographs, do minor procedures, dentals (excluding extractions), run nurse clinices, do lab work, theatre work, anaesthesia and inpatient care. We have a receptionist so you are able to fully utilise your nursing skills rather than being just stuck on reception.

– No OOH’s, no overnight inpatient checks, no Bank Holidays or Sundays.

– Covid-19 considerations: Clients are not currently allowed into the practice due to the ongoing Covid situation. All staff wear masks when talking to clients outside, hands are regularly sanitisied.
